One of my most memorable moment with my bromance in Solo was the time we had dining experience at the Agra Rooftop Alila Hotel Solo, where we celebrated our 10th year friendship in last August and marveled at the beauty of the Solo city and stunning skyline amidst the setting sun in the background.

A Romantic Candlelight Dinner for us

My bromance and I arrived at Agra Rooftop at Alila Hotel, Solo in the evening and opted to dine outdoors which was already 6 tables for 6 couple. The ambiance of this place was pleasant and chic. And true indeed, the view was simply amazing!!! Every table is so beautifully decorated with flowers and a candle to set the mood. Soothing music created a lovely and romantic ambiance throughout the entire this place. Thank goodness there was no haze to obstruct the breathtaking view.

With the menus including Amuse Bouche (melon, pink lychee, youghurt, parsley). Starter (Seared scallop, carrot & ginger puree, broccoli, cauliflower), Sopu ( Beef consommé, Sirloin aburi, soybean), Main Course (Crisp skinned barramundi, spicy dashi sauce, soba, pak – coy or Angus tenderloin, rosemary jus, green pea puree, spiced almond), Dessert (white callebaut chocolate, strawberry & basil compote). The dish that is guaranteed to be challenging to the romance with this pair, will be complete with live music that carries the Jazzy genre so that it adds more nuances to being warmer.

Geprek Mbah So, The Favourite Spicy Dish In Solo

Saturday March 03, 2018 I had the opportunity to taste the culinary Geprek Mbah So, in Banjarsari Surakarta. This culinary little bit unique with the branding of the unusual name Chicken Geprek Mbah So, Level Pedas Sak Karepmu.

Geprek is a typical dish of chicken that may be practically is pounded. Young chickens are fried crunchy like K*C which is then pounded with sambal. This unique concept produce a good new taste. We can still feel the taste of chicken meat and the fried. The visitor can also to be able to determine the level of spiciness itself.

Geprek Mbah So offers a spicy chicken menu that is boiled resulting chicken with soft meat. Chicken then fried and pounded with a variety of sambal options which are available. Among them are onion sambal, sambal matah and black pepper sambal. This Geprek Mbah So newly opened a few months ago around September 2017.
